Would you like to know more about the Catholic faith? Would you like to explore aspects of Catholic theology in more depth, but perhaps do not know where to start?
This course begins by considering what Catholic theology is, how it is done, and what sources it draws upon. It then moves on to consider questions which are at the heart of the Faith regarding the person of Jesus Christ: What can we know about Christ? What does it mean to say that He is both fully human and fully divine? How do we encounter Christ today? This last question leads us into the final area which we will consider: the nature of the Church and the Sacraments, which are the privileged ways in which we encounter Christ today.
This Summer School acts as a ‘course taster’ for the 1-year, online course with the same title for those who find they want to continue to examine these fascinating questions which are at the heart of the Catholic faith.
